Fall = Plaid

Hey Guys!! long time no see.... I have been MIA I know, I have had a lot going on and trying to manage it all was becoming too stressful.  So I am slowly getting myself together and I will be back to posting probably not as often as I used to until I truly get into the swing of things, and I hope that you bear with me while I get into a routine of handling everything.  So enough about that now on to the outfit.  So fall is here and I am sure you all know that plaid is in! I know that this will become a staple piece in my fall wardrobe.  For this outfit I decided to go for a casual look pairing it with skinny jeans and my new favorite booties.  How are you rocking the plaid trend??

Stripes And Wedges!

There have been a lot of things going on in my life I am pursuing a new direction in my life.  I have decided to become a Beach Body Coach.  I have always loved fitness and recently I decided to take the plunge and go for it, and it has taken up a little of my time, that is why I have not posted in a little while... I have also had to travel for work making it extra hard to take pictures and do a blog post.  I will post but not as frequently as I used to until I get off the ground with my coaching.  I feel that with everything that I have on my plate I am trying to balance everything as much as I can.  I hope you understand and you stick with me.  I am going to find a way to integrate both my coaching/fitness into the blog since I want this to be a lifestyle blog.

On to the outfit... this was a quick little weekend outfit I out together casual yet chic.  The fabulous necklace that I have on I won from one of my favorite accessories store Sira & Mara each month they choose a fan of the month and I was lucky enough to get chosen.

I just loves these shoes, I paid less than $20 bucks for them and they are one of the most comfortable shoes I own.

From Work Chic To Mommy Chic

SO I know I mentioned this on my last post (I kinda hit the publish button instead of the save button before I even sent her the post) but I am so happy to be doing a guest post for one of my favorite bloggers Erika from Lola Blue Style. Today we are talking about a simple chic, working mom on the go outfit.

An easy mom on the go outfit is a no brainer for me.  I need something that I can wear to work and that I can quickly change into flats to take the kids to the park or if I need to run to the supermarket, and let’s be honest I can’t sit here and try to tell you that I will run around and chase 2 toddler boys around in heels. So I need and outfit that will be a 2 for 1.  In this outfit I am wearing a loose top with a pair of boyfriend chinos, I added the t-strap heels for work (and you will see flats in pictures below for the mommy role after work) I love these boy chino from Old Navy they are so comfy and you can style them so many different ways, you will see more of these in the posts to come.

Shirt: Forever21, Pants: Old Navy, Shoes: BCBG via TJ Maxx, Watch: MK, Bracelets: Cato, Necklace: Ily Couture, Purse: MK via TJ Maxx, Sunnies: Ray-Ban
For instant mommy chic add a pair of cute flats and you are ready to go.

Hope you are having a fabulous week.

Abstract Floral Pants!

Hey Loves! I have never been big on shopping at TJ Maxx or Marshall's mainly because I feel like you always have to dig to find the good stuff and let's be honest as a mom of 2 I really do not have that time.... But lately i have been obsessed with TJ Maxx I have found shoes, bags, and workout gear.  When I was in Orlando for a work trip I went with my grandmother to TJ Maxx and as we were walking these pants caught my eye and when I check they were my size so I decided to try them on and I am glad I did I love them they are light weight and the print is just amazing the best part is that they were less than $20 bucks!!

Blazer: H&M, Shirt: Old Navy, Pants, Shoes, Purse: Tahari, BCBG, MK all via TJ Maxx, Sunnies: Ray-Ban

Style Tip: Turn this work outfit to an instant night on the town outfit by taking off the blazer and adding a cute clutch and you are good to go.

Have a good long holiday weekend!!

Meet MagSoul!

Hey Loves!! Happy Thursday!! almost done with the work week and I am so glad because it has been a busy week.  And I am looking forward to the weekend to relax at home...

I bring to you MagSoul Shop this little boutique with lots of fabulous scarves and other goodies (think skirts) I first encountered MagSoul through social media, I made contact with her and we hit it off from the start she is so down to earth and such a talented woman, I knew right away that I wanted to work with her.  She agreed and here we are!!!
This is Mags story:
In 2009, my sister sent me this little hair clip with a single spotted guinea feather on it. It was so beautiful. Back in those days, I hadn't found my fashion identity yet, so I was very into accessories. Plus accessories were what I could afford on a single mama budget. So I had this little hair clip, and I loved it. I also had a glue gun, and a serious broken heart, so I needed a hobby! I went out and bought some supplies and made a batch of hair clips using feathers and vintage brooches. I sold my first set at my friends boutique, Pollux.
Everything grew from there-all of my friends supported MagSoul from the beginning. A couple months later, we had a "debut party" and within a year, I was attending shows, markets, and my hair accessories and jewelry were being sold in five stores.
Flash forward to the end of 2012, we had moved from Colorado to  Hickory, and been there for a year. I had opened a small boutique, with the goal of always featuring handmade accessories. Having a brick and mortar shop is very hard (and very expensive!). It was always a struggle to find more than a couple local "makers" who were making on trend products.  Also, I really wanted more scarves for my shop, but had to spend my inventory dollars on clothes. So one night, I ran down to Hancocks and whipped up a batch of infinities...They sold out the next day. So I just kept making them. It has changed my business a lot, and brought me down paths I never saw coming. I have had to give up on certain things and push hard to achieve others. When my customers writes me to say they felt beautiful in something I made, that is everything to me....how they feel in one of my creations! (it helps to use really soft fabrics ;)

I just love her story, how through heart ache and pain she found her calling and has shined and succeeded at what she does which is making fabulous handmade scarves, skirt, turbans, etc... Her fabric is so buttery soft it just makes you feel warm and cozy while looking chic and fabulous at the same time, and the best part is the you will not break the bank because she has amazing prices.  Keep up with Mags on Instagram and Facebook because she always has exciting thing s going on.

For this outfit I am wearing MagSoul's triple infinity scarf what I love about this scarf if that you have 3 scarfs in one.  You can change it around to showcase a different part of the scarf with each outfit you wear. The material is just so soft it is like wearing an old t-shirt but obviously way cuter.

Sweater: Old Navy, Jacket: c/o Conversation Pieces (here), Scarf: c/o MagSoul Shop (here), Pants: LEI via Walmart, Shoes: ebay (old), Sunnies: Ray-Ban

And I will leave you with a message from Mags:

Fashion is for everyone, but unfortunately women do not always feel confident in the clothes, let alone their own skin- I would love to change that! If wearing a scarf makes you feel trendy, or if one of my skirts makes your curves look hot (because I don't use elastic!) then I am winning :)

My thoughts on this is to love who you are and don't give in to what society wants you to be, we as women have to empower each other not bring each other down.  Help one another because no one else will, we are women and we need to stick together.
