Transitioning Into Spring.....Finally!

Helloooo My Loves!! How is everyone doing on this lovely rainy Thursday? So as you can see I have been a little behind this week.. it just seems like everything has come up from every angle.  I am going to apologize in advance for the picture quality on these pics I really don't know what happened to my camera.  So the weather has been gradually getting better here in NC, and when I think of Spring it just warms my heart the only thing that I really don't like is that fact that some days it is still cold in the morning and super hot in the afternoon so a perfect way to dress for this weather is to add a blazer to anything that you are wearing, it will help keep you warm and let's face it a blazer adds instant chicness (I don't know if that is really a word but I am going with it) to any outfit.  What are you spring tips?

Military Green With A Feminine Touch

 I bought these pants on black friday and I finally decided to wear them, I was however in need some inspiration so I browsed through good ol' Pinterest to see how others styled their outfits.  I know I wanted to give my look a feminine touch and I did that by adding a silk blouse, gold accessories and you can't forget the leopard heels.  I just love this color green, it is such a bold color you can combine it with just about everything.  Do you own any military inspired colors or pieces?

Seeing Rose Gold Polka Dots...

Sometimes I think that I miss my hometown of NJ because of my friends, the food, and the environment, but then I start to think of how cold it gets and the snow and that makes me glad that I love in NC, granted this state can get a little bi-polar with the weather cold one day and hot the next but I love living the country and I have gotten used to the weather, the food, the nice people (people actually say good morning in the grocery store without even knowing you) and my drive to work where I pass farms with cows and horses the views are just beautiful.  For this outfit I paired my sweater from Old Navy which I LOVE!! it is so comfy and warm that it was all I needed for a brisk day in NC.  How is the weather where you are living and how does it affect your style?

A veces pienso cuanta falta me hace Nueva Jersey a causa de mis amigos, la comida, y el ambiente, pero luego me pongo a pensar en el frío que hace y la nieve, y el trafico y eso me hace feliz que vivo en Carolina del Norte, aunque les cuento que este estado tiene la tendencia de ser un poco bipolar con el clima un día esta super frío, y el día siguiente hacer calor, pero me encanta vivir en el campo y me he acostumbrado a el clima, la comida, la gente tan amorosa (la gente dicen buenos días en el super sin conocerte), y mis viajes al trabajo donde paso por la granjas con la vacas y caballos los paisajes son simplemente bello. It's All About Conversation Pieces!

I was introduced to Conversation Pieces through one of the blogs that I read.  I immediately fell in love with this little store.  The selection of clothes at Conversation Pieces is exquisite, all the pieces are easy to wear and they will become your go to pieces time and time again. 1. Why did you decide to open your own boutique? 

10 years of twist and turns and heartbreak.    I used to hold international sample sales… hosted events for all the indie denim brands.… I was an off price buyer… I was a liquidator/buyer… I was also a wholesale vintage buyer…  

2. What sets your store apart from all the rest?

hmmm….  I think first and for most, I spend time taking care of employees and customers more than I spend time on creating promotion or marketing opportunities.  We also let our customers/readers into our life through events held either at our home office, or meeting up when I travel.  I also do not stock furiously. I take time to find clothes that are easy to wear, great to travel with, and are your go-to pieces over and over again. They must last a few seasons, wear well, feel good and are affordable, low maintenance and practical. I try my best to ensure that every piece from Conversation Pieces is something that you will reach for in your closet time and time again.

3. What do you like most about what you do?

I get to be me EVERY DAY!

4. How do you describe your personal style?

Comfortable and chic.

5. Besides owning a store, I see you have a blog about cooking/recipes, what made you want to blog about that?

"Our blog is about happy days with simple things... bright, happy, healthy recipes using easily accessible ingredients because pretty food (not necessarily expensive meals) makes a happier person.  Our daily adventures encourage care for ourselves and those around us, in big and small ways."

Keeping It Casual...

I am a sucker for shoes let’s be honest what woman isn’t, my husband often asks how many shoes do you need? And do you really need another pair? And my answers are usually a lot and yes! You never really know what you are in the mood for and one day could be the strappy high heel, another day could be the comfy wedges and there may be days where you just want to be in flats.  I purchased these shoes from a website called Peltzshoes.com they have designers shoes at really good prices.  These are really comfy and I am loving the leopard print.  I have worn these with a lot of different outfits and I fall in love with them everything time I use them.  This time I went for a casual look for dinner with the family.  I just kept it simple with dark wash skinny jeans and a black top.  So I must ask are you a shoe lover like me?

sorry the pictures have not been edited and for some reason my work computer does not let me make the last one any bigger... 

So I have been without a laptop top for 2 weeks and this has made blogging very hard for me.   I will try my hardest to keep on blogging from my iPad (scratch this last statement being that I tried to do this and I could not upload my pictures).  For this look I wanted something comfy and chic and for this I went with my Leith track pants (I absolutely love these pants).  Do you have a go to item in your closet?

Así que he estado sin mi laptop durante 2 semanas y ha sido muy difícil para mi mantener el blog al dia. Voy a intentar mi mejor esfuerzo para seguir los blogs de mi iPad (vamos a borrar esta última afirmación ya que anoche trate de hacer esto y no pude subir mis fotos). Para este look quería algo cómodo y elegante, y por eso me fui con mis pantalones de chándal Leith (Me encantan estos pantalones). Ustedes tienen un artículo que usan frequente en su armario?

Cobalt Pants And Leopard Heels!!!

I love these cobalt pants I bought them from Victoria's Secret a while ago and I was finally able to wear them (they quite didn't fit when I bought them).  You will see these a lot of future posts.  Oh the shoes the shoes I have been in the hunt for a pair of leopard heels for a while now and I just couldn't find the right pair that I liked.  The other day I was perusing through UsWeekly's style section and saw these Nine West shoes under the look for less section and I must say that I fell in love from the moment I saw them so I ordered them and waited patiently until I received them and I was impressed. they are so comfy and they are the perfect heel height for work (another item that you will see a lot of on future posts)

Me encantan estas los pantalones de color cobalto, los compré de Victoria Secret hace un tiempo y finalmente me los puedo poner (cuando los compre eran un poco chicos). Verán estos pantalones una gran cantidad en el futuro. Oh, los zapatos los zapatos he estado buscando un par de tacones de leopardo por un buen tiempo y yo no pude encontrar el par perfecto que me gustaban. El otro día I estaba hojeando en la sección de estilo de UsWeekly y vi estos zapatos de Nine West bajo la sección el look por menos y tengo decir que me encantaron desde el momento en que los vi así que los ordene y esperé pacientemente. Cuando los recibí me impresionó son muy cómodos y el talón es de la altura perfecta para el trabajo (otro elemento que va a ver un montón de en futuros posts)
