Casual Sunday... 2 Weeks Ago!

Hey Loves!! Happy Monday... as you can tell I have not done an outfit post in a little bit now, I have been in a little funk lately and the weather is not cooperating.  I forgot I took pictures the last time we had great weather on the weekend (2 weeks ago) during a family bbq.  You guys must think that I live in my leopard sneaks from Steve Madden (I promise I will give them a rest for the next outfit post) they are just that fabulous and when you have not 1 but 2 toddlers they are really just that convenient to wear and chase after them.  I am super excited about this week since my blog is turning 1 on the 28th!! Obsessed With My Leopard Sneaks!

Happy Monday Sweets!! How was everybody's weekend? Mine was great... we had such great weather I actually sat outside and soaked in some much needed vitamin D.  So if you follow me on instagram you know that I wore this outfit last Saturday (I forgot to do a post) and as you can see I am once again rocking my leopard sneaks from Steve Madden, I am completely obsessed!! I have worn them every weekend since I got them.  They are just so perfect for mommy on the go outfits they add that touch of effortless chic to every outfit.  What do you think about this sneaker trend?

Green, Stripes, and Leopard!

Happy Saturday!! Since I slacked off this past week I come to you with a little outfit post.  When I received this scarf from MagSoul Shop I knew that wanted to pair it with stripes because there is something about that combo that I just absolutely love.  So I took out my favorite shirt from Conversation Pieces and my new green pants that I got for $7 bucks at Walmart! I just love this scarf the print is fabulous and the material is just to die for it's soft and stretchy very comfy, and the fact that it is an infinity scarf you can wear it short or long.  I am loving the way this outfit turned out.  What do you guys think?

Styling Peter Pilotto!

So by now you have heard of the Peter Pilotto line for Target I fell in love instantly with his collection.  All the colors and patterns just draws you in, so I wrote the date down in my planner because this was something that I did not want to miss out. Needless to say when the day came I completely forgot about!! thankfully I saw a post on Instagram and went right to my laptop and was able to purchase a few items (with the exception of the romper and color block blazer that I really wanted) but I couldn't wait to get them in the mail so I went to my local target with the hope of finding the Blazer and romper and instead I kinda duplicated some items that I already bought online because like I said I just couldn't wait.   I am wearing the sweater which I LOVE!!! it is so comfy and warm I paired it with my faux leather pants and metallic heels to finish off the look.  Did you score any pieces from the Peter Pilotto line?

I Must Confess, I LOVE Color!!

I love wearing bold colors, it just makes me feel happy whenever I wear them.  The people in my office often tell me "you look very bright today" and I say thanks I am just trying to bring a little color into the office.  There is something about the classic pink and blue combination that I just love so I put them together and added my gorgeous HM black printed blazer to add a little something else (not like I need anything else) overall I was very happy with the results of this outfit and I had this cheesy smile all day because it just made me that happy.  What colors are you loving right now?

Me encanta usar colores llamativos, tan sólo ponerme un color vibrante me siento feliz. La gente en mi oficina me dicen a menudo "te ves muy colorida hoy" y yo digo gracias estoy tratando de poner un poco de color en la oficina. Hay algo acerca de la combinación  clásica del color rosa y azul, que me encanta, así que los puse juntos y añadí mi chaqueta negra con un estampado bello de HM para añadir un poco de algo más (se que no necesito nada más) en general, me quedé muy contenta con los resultados de este atuendo.  Y si tenía esa sonrisa cursi todo el día, ya que me hizo tan feliz este look. ¿Qué colores están amando en este momento?

It's All About Conversation Pieces!

I was introduced to Conversation Pieces through one of the blogs that I read.  I immediately fell in love with this little store.  The selection of clothes at Conversation Pieces is exquisite, all the pieces are easy to wear and they will become your go to pieces time and time again. What I love most about this store is the store owner Audrey, she takes the time to answer any questions you may have, she is always asking the customer's opinion of the items to buy for her store.  You can see the dedication to her customers, employees, and pets! I had the opportunity to ask her some questions to find out a little bit more about her and her store.

1. Why did you decide to open your own boutique? 

10 years of twist and turns and heartbreak.    I used to hold international sample sales… hosted events for all the indie denim brands.… I was an off price buyer… I was a liquidator/buyer… I was also a wholesale vintage buyer…  

2. What sets your store apart from all the rest?

hmmm….  I think first and for most, I spend time taking care of employees and customers more than I spend time on creating promotion or marketing opportunities.  We also let our customers/readers into our life through events held either at our home office, or meeting up when I travel.  I also do not stock furiously. I take time to find clothes that are easy to wear, great to travel with, and are your go-to pieces over and over again. They must last a few seasons, wear well, feel good and are affordable, low maintenance and practical. I try my best to ensure that every piece from Conversation Pieces is something that you will reach for in your closet time and time again.

3. What do you like most about what you do?

I get to be me EVERY DAY!

4. How do you describe your personal style?

Comfortable and chic.

5. Besides owning a store, I see you have a blog about cooking/recipes, what made you want to blog about that?

"Our blog is about happy days with simple things... bright, happy, healthy recipes using easily accessible ingredients because pretty food (not necessarily expensive meals) makes a happier person.  Our daily adventures encourage care for ourselves and those around us, in big and small ways."

By the answers to these questions and by reading more about her story here you can see that Audrey is a very humble and caring person.  She is always willing to lend a hand, plus she is always whipping up something yummy in the kitchen.  I know that you will fall in love with Conversation Pieces, Audrey and her adorable pets.
