A Little Snake Print

 Hey Guys! Happy Hump Day... I bought these snake print pants from Old Navy for about $7 (or less can't remember) I wasn't sure how I wanted to style them and I wanted to do a little different, a little something more daring.  So I paired it with a chambray shirt and put a neutral sweater on top to pull it all together.  I can't wait to style these pants again.  So what do you guys think of this look? does it work?

Faux Fur and Leather

I love this faux leather vest that I bought from Belk on black friday it is so warm and cozy.  I was trying to figure out how I wanted to style it for the first time so I decided on my faux leather pants and my chambray shirt feel like this combo works well together, the chambray shirt brings everything together for me.  There is something that I may change the next time I wear this vest and that is my hairstyle (I am going to put it up in a high bun the next time I were this vest) I think by doing this it will give more focus to the vest and the accessories that I will be wearing.  What do you think of this combo?

Chambray Polka Dot Blazer

I bought this blazer on the Target clearance rack a while ago and I still had not worn it because I just couldn't find "the right" outfit to wear it with.  One day I decided I was going to go with light colors and decided that this was the time to put it to use.  I like the outcome of the outfit I feel like all the colors flow nicely together and the chambray blazer is a perfect contrast to the light colors.  Are you still embracing chambray or have you moved on?

Compré esta chaqueta en liquidación en la tienda Target hace un tiempo atras y todavía no la había usado porque no encontraba el atuendo "perfecto" para usarla. Un día decidí que me iba poner colores claros y decidí que este era el momento de perfecto para usar la chaqueta. Me gusta el resultado del atuendo, pienso que todo los colores fluyen bien juntos y la chaqueta de un contraste perfecto a los colores claro. ¿todavía usando el estilo chambray o lo han cambiado por otro estilo?

Mint and Chambray...

One of the things that I have learned about fashion is that you have to test the waters and go outside of your comfort zone.  I did that with this outfit and I must say I love this combination, the denim on denim is subtle enough that it doesn't scream a Britney Spears and JT denim disaster back in 2001.  I also love the fact that you can turn this outfit into and instant mommy on the go by adding a pair of cute flats.  Have you ever stepped out of your comfort zone on a look?

Una de las cosas que he aprendido acerca de la moda es que hay que probar las aguas y salir de su zona de comodidad. Yo lo hice con este atuendo y tengo que decir que me encanta esta combinación, la mezcla de mahón sobre mahón es suficientemente sutil, que no se ve como el desastre que llevaba Britney Spears y Justin Timberlake en el 2001. También me encanta el hecho que puedes cambiar este atuendo rápidamente a un look chic para una mamá que siempre esta lista para salir con un simple cambio a un par de zapatos "flat".  Ustedes han salido alguna vez de su zona de comodidad en un look?

The funny thing about taking pictures in the park is the fact that there are people all over the place and I always get the funny faces as I am taking my pictures with my tripod.  At first I was a little shy but now its like yea I am the weirdo taking selfies in the park on my lunch break.

La cosa mas graciosa de sacarse fotos en un parque es que siempre hay gente, y me dan las miradas mas raras mientras yo estoy ahi sacandome fotos sola.  Al principio yo estaba un poco timida pero ahora no me importa y pienso si soy la chica rara tomandose fotos de si misma en el parque en mi hora de lunch.

I am so glad that my job is not strict when it comes to the dress code because it means I can play with different looks, while still keeping it appropriate in the office.  Here I am wearing my white skinny pants (which thanks god the dry cleaners were able to take out the make-up stain that had fallen on them) I put on a sleeveless chambray style shirt and a pink blazer for a punch of color.

Estoy muy contenta de que mi trabajo no es tan estricta en cuanto a la vestimenta, porque significa que puedo jugar con diferente estilos de ropa, y al mismo tiempo mantenerlo apropiado en la oficina. Aquí estoy usando mis pantalones skinny blancos (que gracias a Dios la tintorería fueron capaces de sacar la mancha de maquillaje que se ma habia caido en ellos) me puse una camisa estilo chambray sin mangas y una chaqueta de color rosa para un toque de color.

We went off-roading yesterday with the kids and since we were going to be car I figured hey let me wear my wedges... (only me!!) anyway we had a great time and since we did not do too much walking I figured might as well look fab in the car.  I picked this necklace the other day on a trip to my favorite store Belk... it was love at first sight I loved the color combination and the fact that it can be dressed up or dressed down.  I loved it so much that I picked up an extra one for one lucky reader of Cit Hip in a Country Zip.

Fuimos off-roading ayer con los niños y ya que íbamos a estar dentro del auto decidi ponerme mis zapatos altos... (sólo yo!) de todos modos la pasamos muy bien y ya que no caminanos mucho decidi verme fabulosa en el auto. Escogí este collar el otro dia en un viaje que hice en mi tienda favorita Belk ... fue amor a primera vista, me encantó la combinación de colores y el hecho de que puede ser para una noche de fiestas o para un dia en las montañas. Me gustó tanto que compre otro para un leyente de City Hip in a Country Zip.

A Casual Mother's Day Outfit

Yesterday was a gorgeous day... I was pretty busy the whole day I played with my kids outside, I did some shopping, and then I went to my in-laws house to spend a little time over there. I kept my outfit simple and comfy.  Sorry for the inside pics I didn't have time to take them before the day ended.  I wore my mustard skinnies with a chambray sleeveless top.

Ayer fue un dia maravilloso... Yo estaba un poco ocupada todo el dia, estaba jugando con mis hijos afuera, me fui de compres, y luego fuimos para la casa de mis suegros para terminar el dia.  Mantuve mi atuendo simple y comodo.  Perdona que las fotos estan adentro pero no tuve tiempo de sacarme las fotos antes de que se terminara el dia.  Me puse mis pantalones skinny de color mostasa y una camisa sin mangas de color chambray.

Testing the waters with Chambray

Hey Guys..So today is the start to a long weekend! I don't know about you but I could not be happier to have a day off.  I am going to take the opportunity to get my hair done (so excited!!)
Today's outfit inspiration comes from a fellow blogger J from J's Everyday Fashion.  I must admit that I never thought that I would own a chambray shirt but when I saw the way it was styled on her blog it looked very cute so I thought there is no harm in giving it a try... I cannot believe how versatile this shirt is and I know that I will get a lot of use out of it. Here is the first outfit that I out together with my new chambray shirt.
