Hoot Hoot.....An Owl Sweater!

Hey Guys sorry I have been MIA... I just got back from St. Louis, I went to go and visit some of the customer's I speak to on a daily basis.  It is so nice to put a face to a person you spend most of your day talking to.  This is an outfit that I wore a couple days before I left, I don't know about you but I just really anything owl right about now... I picked up this sweater at Belk in one of their fabulous sales for less than $20 bucks!! it is so comfy and I love that it is 3/4" sleeve so it will be a great transition piece going into spring.  Are there any animal sweater/accessories that you are liking right now?

Just A Bit Cold!

Hey Loves! I don't know about you but I am freeeeezing!! it was down to a record 5 degrees here in NC but the wind chill made it feel like -1million to me.  In order to keep warm I needed to layer up, so I wore this boucle sweater/blazer which is so cozy and super warm, I didn't want over layer on top since this sweater is so warm so I just wore a cami and long sleeve shirt and underneath the pants I wore tights and socks we all know there is nothing more annoying than cold feet, to top it off I wore a coat, wool hat, scarf and gloves.  So needless to say I was very warm and cozy except for when I took these pictures which I did take all that off to take them but for only 5 minutes... How is the weather by you?

Hola Amores! Yo no sé ustedes, pero yo estoy congeladaaaa! se había reducido a una cifra récord de 5 grados aquí en Carolina del Norte, pero la sensación térmica hizo sentir como -1millón para mí. Con el fin de mantenerme calentita necesitaba ponerme ropa en capas, por lo que me puse este suéter / chaqueta que es muy acogedor y muy cálido, que no quería ponerme tanta ropa en la parte superior ya que este suéter es muy cálido, así que sólo llevaba un cami y una camisa de manga larga y debajo de los pantalones llevaba medias y calcetines porque sabemos que no hay nada que nos molesta mas que los pies fríos, y encima de todo esto llevaba un abrigo, gorro de lana, bufanda y guantes. Así que no hace falta decir que estaba muy cálentita con la excepción de cuando tomé estas fotos que me quite todo pero sólo por 5 minutos ... ¿Qué tal el clima por donde ustedes viven?

There is just something about black and white that is just so classic and you can pair it with any color of the rainbow.  I took this striped peplum shirt and paired it with a pair of bright red pants for a polished look.

Hay algo de los colores blanco y negro que son tan clásico y se puede emparejar con cualquier color del arcoiris. Tomé esta camisa a rayas peplum y lo combine con un par de pantalones de color rojo brillante para un aspecto más pulido.

I wore this to work on Friday, it was hot, muggy and it has been raining for the past 2 weeks so I decided to wear my hat to work.  I changed this look when I got home from work like I said it was hot and muggy and the last thing I wanted to wear are jeans so I switched into my boyfriend style jean shorts.

Me puse este atuendo para el trabajo el viernes, hacía calor, había mucha humedad y ha estado lloviendo durante las últimas 2 semanas, así que decidí usar mi sombrero para el trabajo. Cambié el look cuando llegué a casa del trabajo, como dije, hacia mucha calor y estaba húmedo y lo último que yo quería usar los pantalones vaqueros son así que cambié a mis pantalones cortos de jean.

We went off-roading yesterday with the kids and since we were going to be car I figured hey let me wear my wedges... (only me!!) anyway we had a great time and since we did not do too much walking I figured might as well look fab in the car.  I picked this necklace the other day on a trip to my favorite store Belk... it was love at first sight I loved the color combination and the fact that it can be dressed up or dressed down.  I loved it so much that I picked up an extra one for one lucky reader of Cit Hip in a Country Zip.

Fuimos off-roading ayer con los niños y ya que íbamos a estar dentro del auto decidi ponerme mis zapatos altos... (sólo yo!) de todos modos la pasamos muy bien y ya que no caminanos mucho decidi verme fabulosa en el auto. Escogí este collar el otro dia en un viaje que hice en mi tienda favorita Belk ... fue amor a primera vista, me encantó la combinación de colores y el hecho de que puede ser para una noche de fiestas o para un dia en las montañas. Me gustó tanto que compre otro para un leyente de City Hip in a Country Zip.

For this look I got the inspiration from Pinterest.  I wanted a new way to wear my boyfriend jean I never thought of rolling them up...  It is such a fun way to style the jeans I added a scarf because it was a little cold this morning and a fedora because I was not having the best hair day.  So what do you think? Finally the end of the is here! Boy I felt like this week was never going to end.  Its been very busy at work lately and I am wiped out! I could not be more excited to relax this weekend.   Casual Friday is something that I look forward to because I can wear jeans and who doesn't love jeans.  I went with my Victoria’s Secret Boyfriend jeans and added my army style jacket I made the outfit girly by adding my Guess purse that has a bow on it.

Today was an ugly day in NC I thought it was Spring but mother nature clearly has other plans and it was cold and raining. So I decided to grab my warm and cozy pink Boucle sweater/blazer I paired it with black skinny pants I did a simple jewelry set since the sweater has ruffles. Here I took pictures with 3 different pair of shoes houndstooth, light pink, and nude. Which would you choose? I went with the houndstooth today for a little something extra.
