Simplicity Is Key

Simplicity for me is key when raising 2 toddler boys and holding a full time job, easy go to outfit that I can get ready fast and look chic at the same time.  Sometimes for me the simplest outfit is the most comfortable, it is not about how much you can add on to make the outfit shine.  What makes the outfit and person wearing stand out is the attitude that person puts forth.  I am keeping it simple for this weekday outfit, I went with my mint polka dot pants and a mustard shirt and to keep everything neutral I went with brown accents in my shoes and necklace (I did have a blue jean jacket that is not pictured).  And because I am still obsessed with my MK purse I did not change that.  To keep it in the simple frame of mind I went with my natural hair (maybe I look a bit like the lion king) but I love the natural waves and volume I feel it gives the outfit an extra touch.

I wanted to let you guys know that I am changing the blog from a fashion and beauty blog to a personal lifestyle blog.  I feel this way I can bring more topics to the table and it will give me and you more variety.  Thank you for all your support this past year and I know that things have been a little slow around here (blog) but I am working on some new things that has taken up a little bit of my time.

I wore this outfit yesterday to a casual get together.  I just love these shorts from Old Navy they have a nice texture and the color blue of the shorts is just fabulous. To keep things simple I wore this gold and brown necklace that I bought from Piperlime a while back.  I bought an extra one with the intention of giving it away!!! This necklace is simple yet chic! Me puse este atuendo ayer para una reunión casual. Me encantan estos pantalones cortos de Old Navy que tienen una buena textura y el color azul de los pantalones cortos es simplemente fabuloso. Para mantener todo simples me puse un collar de color oro y marrón que compré de Piperlime hace un tiempo atras. Compré uno extra con la intención de regalar uno!!! Este collar es simple pero elegante! lo puedes usar con cualquier atuendo que uses. Miren abajo para los detalles.

When I think of the rainbow I think of this shirt because it really has all the colors of the rainbow. I decided to wear the shirt with a pair of blue textured shorts for a little contrast.  I left my brown belt at home so I wore my black one I really don't like the way it looks with the brown wedge but hey its all good. I put on a hat since I was kind of a little lazy and I didn't want to do my hair.  I was very excited about these pics since they were going to be on the beach and they turned out great.

Cuando pienso en el arco iris pienso de esta camisa porque realmente tiene todos los colores del arco iris. Decidí ponerme la camisa con un par de pantalones cortos de color azul con textura para darle un poco de contraste. Dejé mi cinturón marrón en la casa así que me puse el negro que a mi realmente no me gusta la forma en que se ve con los zapatos marrón pero bueno que se va hacer. Me puse mi gorro porque en realidad no tenia ganas de hacerme el pelo.  Estaba muy emocionada de estas fotos ya que me las iba sacar en la playa y me encantaron.

We went off-roading yesterday with the kids and since we were going to be car I figured hey let me wear my wedges... (only me!!) anyway we had a great time and since we did not do too much walking I figured might as well look fab in the car.  I picked this necklace the other day on a trip to my favorite store Belk... it was love at first sight I loved the color combination and the fact that it can be dressed up or dressed down.  I loved it so much that I picked up an extra one for one lucky reader of Cit Hip in a Country Zip.

Fuimos off-roading ayer con los niños y ya que íbamos a estar dentro del auto decidi ponerme mis zapatos altos... (sólo yo!) de todos modos la pasamos muy bien y ya que no caminanos mucho decidi verme fabulosa en el auto. Escogí este collar el otro dia en un viaje que hice en mi tienda favorita Belk ... fue amor a primera vista, me encantó la combinación de colores y el hecho de que puede ser para una noche de fiestas o para un dia en las montañas. Me gustó tanto que compre otro para un leyente de City Hip in a Country Zip.

A Casual Mother's Day Outfit

Yesterday was a gorgeous day... I was pretty busy the whole day I played with my kids outside, I did some shopping, and then I went to my in-laws house to spend a little time over there. I kept my outfit simple and comfy.  Sorry for the inside pics I didn't have time to take them before the day ended.  I wore my mustard skinnies with a chambray sleeveless top.

Ayer fue un dia maravilloso... Yo estaba un poco ocupada todo el dia, estaba jugando con mis hijos afuera, me fui de compres, y luego fuimos para la casa de mis suegros para terminar el dia.  Mantuve mi atuendo simple y comodo.  Perdona que las fotos estan adentro pero no tuve tiempo de sacarme las fotos antes de que se terminara el dia.  Me puse mis pantalones skinny de color mostasa y una camisa sin mangas de color chambray.
